Ladybird Day Nursery

Ladybird Day Care

Ladybird Day Care is situated within the Kirkley Children’s Centre on the ground floor, in a secure purpose built unit with a large outdoor area. It's open daily (Mon-Fri) from 8am to 5.30pm, except bank holidays, inset days and the Christmas period and offers day care for up to 56 children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

The nursery has 3 rooms: the Caterpillar Room for 0-2 year olds, the Butterfly Room for 2-3 year olds and the Dragonfly Room for the 3-5 year olds. This allows practitioners to focus on the learning needs of the individual curriculum stages (see Curriculum Stages - 0-2 Years, Curriculum Stages - 2-3 Years and Curriculum Stages - 3-5 Years). All the rooms have access to the nursery garden, which has climbing equipment, room for riding trikes, a mud kitchen, sand and digging pits, space for water play and a quiet area for relaxing or reading.

In its latest Ofsted inspection (February 2017) the nursery was found to be 'Good' in all areas. Inspectors found that the "management and staff are passionate about providing a safe and high-quality service to all children and their families ... Staff are highly successful in promoting children's social skills. Their sensitive interaction supports children in understanding and appreciating one another and learning to work together."

Fees range from £19.80 per half day to £39.90 for full day care. Download our fees and sessional info sheet for more information.
