Little Blossoms at Filby Nursery
A small, welcoming nursery set in the rural village of Filby
Little Blossoms Nursery is adjacent to Filby Primary School, in Thrigby Road. It's open daily for 2-5 year olds, from 9.00am to 12.00pm on Mondays and Fridays, and 8.30am to 4.00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (term time only). It also closes for bank holidays and inset days.
The size of the nursery and its rural location mean that staff are able to take the children out for walks to the local park or to small local businesses to support their understanding of the world around them. It has its own garden for running around, playing games or riding trikes and scooters. But its unique setting also allows it to make use of the school playing field when not in use by the school children.
The nursery is proud to be part of its community, working with the school and local parents where possible, as well as supporting local events, such as fetes and 'Filby in Bloom'.
During its latest Ofsted inspection (September 2018) the nursery was found to be 'Good' in all areas. Inspectors praised the staff for creating "a very welcoming and child-centred environment that engages children and motivates them to explore and learn .. with excellent first-hand opportunities to explore and learn about their local community and the surrounding natural environment."
Fees range from £15.00 for a 3 hour session to £37.50 for a 7.5 hour session (8.30am to 4.00pm). Download our fees and sessional info sheet for more information.
