Calthorpe Nursery

A small, welcoming nursery overlooking St George's Park

Calthorpe Nursery is located in Alexandra Road in the centre of Great Yarmouth, opposite St George's Park. It's open daily (Mon-Fri) for 2-5 year olds, from 9.00am to 12.00pm and 1.00pm to 4.00pm (term time only). It also closes for bank holidays and inset days.

The nursery has separate rooms for 2-3 year olds and 3-5 year olds, allowing practitioners to focus on the learning needs of the individual curriculum stages (see Curriculum Stages - 2-3 Years and Curriculum Stages - 3-5 Years). Both rooms have access to the nursery garden, which has climbing equipment, room for riding trikes, a mud kitchen, sand and digging pits, space for water play and a quiet area for relaxing or reading.

In its latest Ofsted inspection (March 2016) the nursery was found to be 'Good' in all areas. Inspectors found that the enthusiastic staff team motivate the children, "who are valued and respected". They settle in well and build secure emotional relationships with the staff.

Fees range from £11.55 (3-5 year olds) to £14.55 (2-3 year olds) per 3 hour session. Download our fees and sessional info sheet for more information.
