About our Nurseries

About our Nurseries

Our nurseries operate on 'free flow play' principles, giving children the freedom to move freely beween play areas and to choose whether they play indoors or outdoors. All our settings are in ground floor locations, offering children richer learning and development opportunities.

Sessions and resources are carefully planned to provide a balance of child- and adult-led activities. Staff ratios are observed at all times to ensure that the children are safe and to encourage learning opportunities as they naturally occur through play.

Home Learning

Your child will be assigned a key worker, who will work with you to help your child to develop and progress at his/her own individual pace. Through observing your child he/she will be able to give you ideas to take home to build on their development at nursery. We also hold themed Stay & Plays each term, to enable you to come in to nursery to play with your child and get new ideas and techniques.

Our Aims

  • To offer experiences to children that enable them to use their innate curiousity and desire to learn.
  • To provide an environment that is stimulating, loving and caring - and welcoming to all who use it.
  • To recognise the importance of working with families, involving them in their child’s learning.
  • To give children the autonomy to develop and learn within a safe environment.
  • To offer opportunities with equal regard to all children and families, celebrating diversity and individuality and promoting anti-discriminatory behaviour to all those attending the nursery.

Help with Childcare Costs

Since April 2017 the Government has introduced new ways to help parents with childcare costs.

Families with 2-year olds who receive some forms of support may be entitled to 15 hours of free childcare or early education a week.

All families in England with 3 and 4-year-old children are entitled to 15 hours of free childcare or early education a week.

Working families in England with 3 and 4-year-old children are entitled to an extra 15 hours a week of free childcare - so 30 in all.

Visit the Childcare Choices website for more info or speak to one of our Nursery Managers.
