Priory Day Nursery is Outstanding

Thursday, 22nd March 2012

Oftsed have given their top rating to Priory Day Nursery following their latest inspection. The report, published in March, describes the Nursery as "an outstanding provision, where children receive exemplary support to help them learn and develop and where their welfare is of paramount importance."

The Inspector was particularly impressed by the "highly skilled and very well-qualified staff, who support all children in making extremely good progress towards all the early learning goals" and the "major feature of the setting provided by the positive relationships with parents and carers".

This is a big turn around for the Nursery, which was judged as just satisfactory 5 years ago and is a reflection on the quality and hard work of all the staff.

The Priory Day Nursery is part of the Priory Children's Centre and is run by Great Yarmouth Community Trust. The news of Ofsted's top rating for the Nursery comes on the back of their assessment last year that the Children's Centre as a whole is outstanding.
