National Gallery returns to GYCT!
The National Gallery, working with Great Yarmouth Community Trust, has
once again chosen to offer outreach workshops at The Priory Centre in Great Yarmouth. The artist, Marc Woodhead, will lead four workshops on the theme of 'Something Sacred'. Inspired by The Wilton Diptych, and early religious paintings in
the Sainsbury Wing of the National Gallery the workshops will explore what is Sacred, discussing works such as Virgin and Child by a follower of Hugo van der Goes, The Annunciation with Saint Emidius by Carlo Crivelli and Jesus opens the eyes of a man born blind by Duccio.
The workshops will run on Wednesdays during April and May. Places are limited to 12 and those applying to be part of this exciting opportunity must be over 50 and have a long term medical condition.
For an application form please contact Kate Platt: 01493 743000, or call in to the Priory Centre and collect one.
Priory Centre becomes a UK online centre
Currently one in five adults still don't use computers and the internet. It's often those facing the toughest times who have the most to gain from what technology has to offer, and as the internet rapidly becomes a tool for everyday life, those without the access, skills or the motivation to use it are increasingly being left behind. UK online centres help these people by giving them the opportunity and support they need to get started online.
If you need some free advice on how to get connected call our Learning Team :

New course starting on Thursday 22nd April - open to everyone, regardless of your current level.

We promise it will be interactive and fun!
We'll be using computers - but you don't need to have any computer skills - we'll teach these as we go.
All learners must either be working, volunteering - or be prepared to work as a volunteer.
