is free and is open to workers and volunteers who work with vulnerable
people and children.

Priory Learning Centre
The Priory Learning Centre is the largest independent deliverer of adult education in Great Yarmouth (outside the statutory sector). Courses are both formal and informal and cover a very wide range of subjects. Programmes as diverse as: ‘Intro to Maths’, 'Entertaining Education', ‘Indian Head Massage’ and GCSEs are included.
If you would like to improve or update skills the Priory Centre is the place to go. Regardless of your present level of education, we can help you to develop and improve your skills and build your confidence.
If you decide to study at the Priory Centre you will have the opportunity to gain a qualification and maybe take the next step into: further education, vocational training or work; all these are possible.
Over the past year, 250 learners have studied at the Priory Centre, many have gained one of more qualifications in a variety of subjects; these include: Basic Food Hygiene, The National Test and GCSE English and Maths.
The Learning Team is currently running six programmes, covering a range of subjects and activities. These include: NVQ level 2 in Advice and Guidance and English for Speakers of other languages (ESOL). Therapeutic, recreational and creative courses, such as Floral Art, are also available.

ESOL
A chance for those whose first language is not English to improve their written and verbal skills. Courses include: Improve your English (Melhore o seu Ingles) and Work with English (Trabalhar com o ingles).
Move On
Tasters include: Basic Food Hygiene, (Higiene da Alimentacao), Basic
First Aid (Primeiros Socorros Basico) and Indian Head Massage (Massagem da Cabeca Indiana). Open to people aged 16+ who
are unemployed or working less than 16 hours a week.

Step Up
Skills for Life learning. The programme includes: Introducing Floral Art, Floral Art (OCN Level 2) and GCSE qualfications in English and Maths. Open to people aged 16+ who are unemployed or working
less than 16 hours a week.
