Welcome to the Priory & Greenacre Children's Centres Children's Centres are ‘one-stop shops’ and 'must visit' places for parents-to-be and families or carers with pre-school children. Our services include daycare, early education, creche facilities, ante- and post-natal services and a host of fun groups and activities for parents and carers with their under 5s. We have specialist groups for families of children with special needs and for women with maternal depression. We can also arrange for interpreters to be available to assist non-English speaking families. A team of specialists are on hand to advise on day-to-day parenting and provide exciting play opportunities, music making groups and fun activities for 0-5s and their parents. Find out more about our daily programme of fun groups and activities Recent Developments in our Children's Centres Sure Start Great Yarmouth was established five years ago, as a national trailblazer programme. In 2005 it became the Priory Children's Centre and was one of the first Sure Starts in the country to receive children's centre status. In June 2006 it opened a new 'satellite' centre at the Alderman Swindell CASSTLE, in partnership with Alderman Swindell First School. This year services have developed at Greenacre Children's Centre. These are being delivered across the three different venues, Greenacre First, Middle & Nursery School, Peggotty Road Community Centre and St James Health & Resource Centre.
